Foam Insulation Can Save Lives, Save Money, And Save Your Power Company!

If your home is always taking a long time to heat up in the winter and cool down in the summer, even with the air blasting at full, then you may have an insulation problem. What is happening in a lot of homes is the insulation is either minimal, cheap and ineffective, or missing all together. If you have perfect foam insulation in your walls but neglect to insulate the attic and ceiling areas, you're essentially letting all the air out through the roof!
Foam insulation is a very efficient and useful insulation type because it's literally sprayed or poured into the walls and attic. In it's semi-liquid state it fills in every hole and crevice so it makes a powerful sealer. This type of insulation is also a wonderful sound proof barrier between the various rooms in the home. It effectively absorbs or reflects sound, so very minimal noise can be transferred out.

The benefits don't stop at insulation - holding in the hot or cold air so you can turn your air conditioner/central heat/air on for less time and maintain the temperature, which saves an incredible amount of money. The benefits continue past the sound proofing concept as well, and one additional benefit is : Fire protection...

Foam insulation is a fire retarder. It can stop a fire or block it from continuing to the next room. A fire that happens in one room could effectively be trapped there if you have ample foam insulation trapped between/filling in the walls. This can raise the value of your home and improve the safety of your family and possessions. Normal insulation is also fire retardant but foam is far more safe and offers many more benefits than standard fiberglass insulation.

Some states' governments offer financial assistance in the form of a tax break for installing appropriate insulation. You should check with your state and city laws and tax benefits to find out if you qualify. Many of the power companies have worked with government agencies to offer this discount because of the power problems many power companies face.

The theory here is that if more people update or install insulation, they will likely save money and use less power. Power overloads happen especially in the extremes of temperatures and this is where power companies run into problems. By making a home more efficient, they can use less air conditioner/heater power and take a load off the power company.
